Dr. Adam Rose, Associate Professor at the School of Public Health at Hebrew University, is seeking a skilled data analyst. The candidate should be able to use a package such as R, SAS, or STATA with considerable facility and skill (R is preferred). Menu-driven software such as SPSS is not appropriate for this project. Dr. Rose is beginning a two-year project funded by the ISF to analyze data from the Leumit Health Fund to answer important questions about the optimal timing of primary care visits. The analysis will require complex problem-solving in terms of manipulating the data, creating new variables, and performing relatively advanced statistical testing under the supervision of Dr. Rose and the project statistician. A considerable amount of work is needed – at least half-time work (i.e., 20 hours per week) is preferred, and more than that would be welcome. We are flexible about the level of training of the analyst, provided he/she is skilled, willing to work hard, and interested in problem-solving. Co-authorship on manuscripts is available for an analyst who has interest in the content of the research and participates in interpretation of results. Please contact Dr. Rose at adam.rose@mail.huji.ac.il if interested.
